Hi Soni,

I don't think it has to do with the underlying database as you told me that you
can reproduce the issue on the demo website too (not sure if it uses derby or
mysql but not mssql for sure).
It might actually have to do with Lucene indexes used by Jackrabbit
http://wiki.apache.org/jackrabbit/IndexingConfiguration. Afaik, Magnolia
default indexing configuration (see SearchIndex at
/magnolia-webapp/src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/config/repo-conf) will index all text
properties with a Lucene StandardAnalyzer, therefore both English and German
text are treated the same way which might lead to weird results. Maybe one way
to deal with that is to define an indexing rule using a GermanAnalyzer only for
all text properties ending with _de (this is how Magnolia stores localised
text, German in this case).

Anyway, would you mind filing an issue at
http://jira.magnolia-cms.com/browse/MAGNOLIA describing exactly how to
reproduce it, what version of Magnolia you're using, etc?

HTH,

Federico
