Hi Soni, I don't think it has to do with the underlying database as you told me that you can reproduce the issue on the demo website too (not sure if it uses derby or mysql but not mssql for sure). It might actually have to do with Lucene indexes used by Jackrabbit http://wiki.apache.org/jackrabbit/IndexingConfiguration. Afaik, Magnolia default indexing configuration (see SearchIndex at /magnolia-webapp/src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/config/repo-conf) will index all text properties with a Lucene StandardAnalyzer, therefore both English and German text are treated the same way which might lead to weird results. Maybe one way to deal with that is to define an indexing rule using a GermanAnalyzer only for all text properties ending with _de (this is how Magnolia stores localised text, German in this case).
Anyway, would you mind filing an issue at http://jira.magnolia-cms.com/browse/MAGNOLIA describing exactly how to reproduce it, what version of Magnolia you're using, etc?
