Well, of course you will not be able to update the bootstrap file inside the 
JAR. But you could simply export the page as XML to some defined path. So yes, 
it is possible. 

For activation it's easier though: The activation command can be reconfigured 
to include more sub-commands. So you could ad your own sub-command which would 
then export the page. Have a look at the configuration at 
/modules/adminInterface/commands/website/activte.

Triggering this behavior when you modify the page is a bit trickier. Here you 
would have to write custom save handlers for the dialog... but which dialog? 
The page properties? The page header? Well, probably for all component dialogs 
as well... In M5 you define it here:

For < 5 it's configured in a "saveHandler" attribute in the dialog. See
