Hi Juraj,

Unlike its name suggests, the DamUploadFieldDefinition doesn't upload to the 
dam workspace. Therefore you need a URI2RepositoryMapping to display images on 
the front end. See 
http://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS/URI+mapping.

Then you can invoke one of the link() methods in TemplatingFunctions.

As a side note, I agree the naming/purpose of the DamUploadField is confusing. 
In fact, it's merely similar to a BasicUploadField + additional capabilities to 
deal with image files; it was probably first required for the dam assets app, 
hence the naming.
