${i18n} IIRC is the "tool" that lets one translate "labels" and such; if this
works this work, it sounds like a weird side effect.
${contact.shortBio} _should_ work, I think... if "contact" is a node and if
it's correctly wrapped (which again, should be the case, but that might depend
on how you retrieve it)
