It could be that I have forget to remeber that you have also to remove an
vaadin repository entry in the project, module or webapp pom.xml Files of you
project.

The Magnolia Archetype comes with an vaadin repository definition in their poms.
1. Remove these repository definition.
2. Delete broken Downloaded Libraries.
2.1. in best case only the vaadin Library download directory under
~/.m2/repository/
2.2. in worst case because there are more libraries which are downloaded and
broken. Wipe out the complete ~/.m2/repository/ directory and let Maven
download every library again.
( Tip: I have renamed "~/.m2/repository/" to "~/.m2/repository_Broken/" instead
of deleting, could be helpfully if in some cases. )

In my github repository you can find an not yet finished Magnolia Module which
has fixed pom.xml files for module, webapp and project poms. Could be help to
look at this repository:

https://github.com/tobiashochguertel/MagnoliaCMS.Project.hochguertel.biz/tree/templateBasedOnSTK/website-hochguertel-dot-biz

(make sure you have selected the branch: "templateBasedOnSTK")

https://github.com/tobiashochguertel/MagnoliaCMS.Project.hochguertel.biz/blob/templateBasedOnSTK/website-hochguertel-dot-biz/pom.xml

The master branch is also okay and working. Should be working in aspect to get
maven up and running and mark Maven in the Checklist as resolved ; ).

@Gavan thank you - I have read and saw your message on day of writing. thank
you for your positive feedback. I was and I'm busy currently because of the
exam in the next month. By the way, feed free to extend the academy without
linking to this post. To work in the information from here into the academy
documentation could make an better learning effect. I think also to discuss
internally the need of the vaadin repository in the magnolia archetype(s) could
make sense, if you add the information that you have to adjust the maven
settings.xml file, there is no need for this vaadin repository definition which
is also out of date?
