The documentation on RenderingFilter says I can set the property terminateChain to false, and then my servlets will have a go at fulfilling the request when the page doesn't exist in the JCR. The code for this in RenderingFilter checks the terminateChain condition and, if false, executes the next filter in the filter chain. So it appears I need to add another filter to the chain to dispatch to my servlets, right?
That's the lesser issue because I don't see the request get to RenderingFilter, due to a failed call in AggregatorFilter. AggregatorFilter calls hierarchyManager.getNodeData, which fails of course, and upon failure it stops the chain. How can I get the request past AggregatorFilter? Is there a bypass or mapping I need to set? My goal is to use Magnolia as a proxy for an existing application. If a requested URL doesn't exist in Magnolia, I want it to hand off to my servlet.
