Well, the work on Modeshape integration seems to be abandoned since I left Magnolia one year ago. The last effort was to try to integrate Modeshape 3.6.0 and Magnolia 5.1.1 [http://git.magnolia-cms.com/gitweb/?p=modules/modeshape-support.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/modeshape-3.6.0], and now we have Modeshape 4.0.0 (or 3.8.1 in 3.x line) and Magnolia 5.3.5.
