since today my repository won't load on server startup. I did not do anything special besides build another page.

1) I get a bunch of Warings e.g.
WARN org.apache.jackrabbit.core.query.lucene.CachingIndexReader CachingIndexReader.java(cacheInit:212) 02.10.2005 13:39:58 Duplicate index entry for node: 66f4b088-058d-4aed-a93b-bf529ae9e3be

2) Error saying "Unable to start repository. forcing shutdown"
3) Error saying "Unable to initialize repository: /opt/tomcat/webapps/go/repositories/website/workspaces/default/index/_b/_1.fnm does not denote an existing file:"

Followed by a RepositoryException with the same message which is caused by an IOException with the same message.

It seems that my repository (or the index) is corrupt. Is there any way to fix this?

It's not the repository but the index that is corrupt. Depending on the file system implemenation you use delete index.dat or the the directory containing the index. On startup the index will be rebuilt.

However, if you do not need the index, i.e. you do not offer search capabilities on your site, you could turn off indexing completely.

Hi Michale,

thanks for the reply!

Does your reply mean, that I can delete the index (e.g. /repositories/website/workspaces/default/*), and it will get rebuilt automatically?

Cheers,

Chris
