It would be useful to see the code produced, but your problem could be
caused by http://jira.magnolia.info/browse/MAGNOLIA-523, which produces
different outputs in Firefox and IE. If this is what you experience,
then there is no way around it until the code in SimpleNavigation is
fixed, or you could try implementing the fix in your own version of
Magnolia...
