I developed an application under Magnolia that uses Spring MVC. I quickly came to the conclusion that trying to natively integrate Spring and Magnolia was beyond the scope of my project. What I did was wrap Magnolia around my Spring. This has worked out quite well, and it gives me Magnolia's navigation and templates with the power of Spring/MVC for a catalog and shopping cart. I would have preferred a native implementation because this does have a few "gotchas" but I am satisfied with the results. If there is interest I can make the source available on the wiki.

Terry,
I was thinking of using Spring for transactions and persistence, so that your code would be very useful to me.
thanks,
