As a Magnolia user, I find I need to be good at upgrading Tomcat & Magnolia, as well as migrating repositories & site files to the upgraded environments. I've gotten into doing some more elaborate Tomcat setups and don't really want to have to re-do them all the time. Since the last few releases were on Tomcat 5.0.28, I'm sure the Engine can be left alone while just upgrading Magnolia.
If I save off my templates & site files, & export my repositories, can I upgrade Magnolia simply by...? stopping Tomcat replacing the author & public WAR's, starting Tomcat add templates & site files import repositories Do I need to use the 'manager' to undeploy first (../manager/remove?path=/magnoliaAuthor)? Will the next release be on Tomcat 5.5? If so, I think I should just setup 5.5 & drop new Magnolia WAR's in there as they come along. ---------------------------------------------------------------- for list details see http://www.magnolia.info/en/magnolia/developer.html ----------------------------------------------------------------
