When accessing adminCentral I guess you still browse to
http://localhost:8081/pages/.magnolia/adminCentral.html
Not sure if changing the name of the web application has any effect.
In testing I use the webapp-name 'magnolia', and that works fine.

I tried your suggestions and found that
http://localhost:8081/pages/.magnolia/adminCentral.html
works but,
http://localhost:8081/pages/.magnolia/
does not work.
