I tried to use the bundle with the tomcat included, but can not get the env. 
variables work.  I could get the tomcat downloaded separate and that works with 
the same env. variables , but not with the magnolia bundle version.  I am 
running as root and am pointing to the right JDK in the JAVA_HOME and have the 
CATALINA_HOME pointing to the right directory, but am not able to get the 
tomcat running with the magnolia bundle.  Hoping the better installation steps 
might address the issue with the OSX.
