Hi, If anyone could point out the difference between author instance and public instance other than what is mentioned in the usermanual, esp with reference to admin central would be great.
my sender url is http://mysite.com:9080/magnoliaAuthor subscriber is mysite.com:9080 My main question is Should the activation nodes appear in the public interface and the page be activated again from the public instance. I thought the activation was only in author instance and the public instnce was to view whether the activation has been carried out. In the current situtation , any content added or deleted in a page in the author instance when activated to public instance appears with an yellow node. When this page is accessed through web browser, it shows up the error"If-modified since". When i activate the page in the public instance and again access it through browser, I am able to see the page. Is this how it is supposed to work? i.e double activation-one in author instance and another in public instance? Some clarification is required.
