Will magnolia 3 work on Berkeley and is there any other configuration
needed than described on the wiki?
magnolia is independent of persistence manager used in jackrabbit.
we do not deliver berkeley "database" because of license issues but
Persistence manager is a plugin and has apache license.
you are free to use it but you need to download it from the
jackrabbit svn repo and build it yourself.
However Mr. Kraft
suggested to use it because it is faster than derby.
its true, its much faster and not so much memory hungry!

Missing
Library
Hi Claudio,
We did not include BerkeleyDBPersistenceManager in 3.0 because its no
longer supported by jackrabbit community.
you can still find it on http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/jackrabbit/
trunk/contrib/bdb-persistence/
