It looks like I can create "editors" and not activate them to the live site. By doing so, they can create and edit content, but not activate it.

Have you done this? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 20 July 2006 16:26 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [magnolia-user] Role to edit but not activate Thanks. Doesn't that add a bit of complexity to activating roles? Is that my only option? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 20 July 2006 16:19 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [magnolia-user] Role to edit but not activate Hi Ben, You must set the role differently on the public instance. Set the role to read only on the pages on the public instance of Magnolia. Similarly, I want to create a role that has rights to activate only (not create or edit). Editor (Create & Edit, no Activation) Manager (Activate, no Create, no Edit) I swear this is possible, but I can't for the life of me figure out how.
