Hi everybody. I was also testing magnolia with MySQL here, and got into another kind of problem with this setup.
Our backup scripts (don't ask me why!) generates a MySQL dump, and restarts the server every night. I realized that this action (restarting) kills all my connections (obviously), but it does *not* make magnolia try to reconnect at all. I've inserted autoReconnect=true in both instances, tried to update MySQL server (first it was on WinNT with 4.0.20a, now in a SuSE Linux 9 and 4.1.21), but, the problem remais. *Any* lost connection is *not* restored by any means. Tried to kill threds and users through MuSQL Administrator, tried to restart MySQL server, and not a bit of nothing. I'm using magnolia 3.0 RC2, MySQL Connector/J 3.1.13, JDK 1.5.0_07, Tomcat 5.5.17 in the same SLES 9 box. Should I do any other update? Jackrabbit, Commons, Connector/J?
