Dear list, We have a problem with umlauts in text supplied by (unaltered) messages.properties files in magnolia3-rc2 popup windows.
For example in messages_templating_de.properties dialog.pageProperties.tabGeneral.headerImage.description = Bild wird abw\ufffdrts vererbt the umlaut isn't displayed correctly and it doesn't help to change the page encoding in the browser. The problem doesn't occur in the main page. The page encoding of dialogs and main page is correctly recognized as UTF-8 by firefox. This is issue is already in jira http://jira.magnolia.info/browse/MAGNOLIA-1060 but it doesn't seem to be fixed as I recompiled magnolia-core/src/main/java/info/magnolia/cms/i18n from svn. I'm running linux configured as utf-8 and tomcat-5.5. Can anyone point this out?
