It's hard to help without knowing *what* error you're getting. However,
there are two things you might be bumping into here that come to mind
immediately:
1. If you use the Export utility and export from root "/", a bug prevents
that from working correctly in many cases. Exporting individual
pages/subtrees seems to work better.
2. There was a bug in the FCKEditor implementation in RC2 that caused
backslash characters to be escaped incorrectly. As a result, repeated
editing of a field with backslashes tended to result in unprintable
characters (like ASCII 8, in our case) to be persisted to the JCR store.
These values couldn't be XML encoded, causing publishing and export of those
pages to fail.
You can fix this by using the JCR browser to copy the text of the paragraph
to an external editor, having the editor remove non-printable characters
("Zap Gremlins" in BBEdit), and then paste the cleaned up text back into the
repository.
