Hi,
I installed the latest 3.0 CE version for evaluation, and I found what is
labelled 3.0 documentation on the site, although when following the
quickstart tutorial its very obvious that it is out of date. I struggled
through it and think i understand the concepts, but I'm getting pretty
frustrated trying to experiment with changing properties because the changes
don't seem to take effect unless I restart my server. Are they being cached
or something?
For instance, i created a quickstartPageProperties much like the sample, and
a quickstart-page-properties dialog, but when I change my main.jsp page to
point to it like so:
<cms:mainBar paragraph="quickstartPageProperties" />
The page works at first, but without the bgcolor. Then i restart the
server, and presto, there is the bgcolor. Then i change it to:
<cms:mainBar paragraph="quickstartPageProperties2" />
and it continues to work even though there is no quickstartPageProperties2.
I restart and now it throws an error.
Can anyone help me with that or explain it? It makes it almost impossibly
slow to just play around with to get the hang of.
