Hi Chris,

These are the changes in the configuration to transfer an author instance to
a public instance:

- Set /subscribers/default/active to ‘false’
- Set /modules/cache/config/active to ‘true’
- Set /modules/adminInterface/virtualURIMapping/default/toURI to
‘redirect:/home.html’ or whatever you need
- Set /server/admin to ‘false’

Betreff: [magnolia-user] Public instance has taken on Author settings after
change to bdb

Hi,

I've tried changing the persistence manager on Community Edition 3.01
from derby to bdb, and in the process deleted the repositories from the
filesystem and bootstrapped both instances of Magnolia. This seemed to
work fine. However, the Public instance now seems to have taken on the
same settings as Author i.e. the default page is now Admin Central (I
know how to change this), every page seems to now require login (think I
can change this), but most noticeably, there are now the edit bars
across every page, just like on the Author instance. Does anyone know
how to change this?

Also, if anyone knows of a comprehensive list of differences between
Author and Public then I'd really appreciate seeing it.

Cheers,

Chris
