Hi Ingrid
If you set the heap max to 256MB only, that may, depending on the size
of your project, be too little. As others suggested I also would point
at least to 512MB, since you also want some fast response when testing
too. On a server I would try to stick to 1GB at least.
While on your desktop/notebook it might be ok to "slice up memory"
(meaning a heap min of 128m and a max of 512m) on the server you might
want to allocate the full memory heap. If for example you have heap min
128m, the JVM will start with 128MB of memory. When the 128MB are
reached, it will add another slice of 64MB, if that is reached, again
64MB until it reaches the max you defined. This "slicing up" has a small
drawback on performance.

Thanks, now magnolia works without the MemoryError.
I defined the two Systemvariables:
JAVA_OPTS = -Xms128M -Xmx256M
CATALINA_OPTS = -Xms128M -Xmx256M

Hi Ingrid,
with how much of memory are you starting your tomcat installation? You can
set this as command line parameters to the tomcat startup (-Xms128m and
-XmX512m, for example). You can set this in startup.bat (enhancing your
CATALINA_OPTS).
