Hi Narinder,

As you deleted the server configuration in your public instance you will not
be able to access this instance any more. The easiest way is to copy the
complete author repository and make the few configuration changes to
transform the instance into a public instance:

0. Be sure to have a backup
1. Shutdown Magnolia
2. Replace the public's repository folder with a copy of the author's
repository folder (I recommend tar to do the job)
3. Start Magnolia
4. Access the public instance:
  http://localhost:8080/magnoliaPublic/.magnolia/pages/adminCentral.html
5. Change configuration. This will transfer an author instance to a public
instance:
        - Set /subscribers/default/active to ‘false’
        - Set /modules/cache/config/active to ‘true’
        - Set /modules/adminInterface/virtualURIMapping/default/toURI to
         ‘redirect:/home.html’ or whatever you need
        - Set /server/admin to ‘false’

Betreff: [magnolia-user] Accidental Server DeActivation Problem

Hi,

I was using magnoliaAuthor Admin webtool and accidentally deactivated server

(in Configuration tab).

Now my MagnoliaPublic instance is deactivated as well and am not able to
activate/deactivate any of my pages. Any attempt to activate the server node

again throws up following error message :

Not able to send the Activation Request :
.../magnoliaPublic/ActivationHandler : no contentType

How can I get the things working again ? I am using Magnolia 3.0.1 release

Regards
Narinder
