Sorry for not being clearer. We would like to use AD on the author instance but the AD server would not be accessible by the public instance.
What I mean to ask is that if the AD server is part of the corporate intranet and is not accessible by the public instance, does this prevent us from using Active Directory with Magnolia? Or is there a workaround? -Theo -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, April 25, 2007 12:28 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [magnolia-user] Active Directory support Hi, On Apr 25, 2007, at 18:21 , Theodore Nguyen-Cao wrote: > If this is true and we have our author instance hooked up to Active > Directory, is it a hard requirement to have our public instance > connect > to the same Active Directory? What do you mean by "hard requirement"? You would just need to configure both instances the same way .. !? g ---------------------------------------------------------------- for list details see http://www.magnolia.info/en/developer.html ---------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------- for list details see http://www.magnolia.info/en/developer.html ----------------------------------------------------------------
