I'm resending this, from a couple of days ago. It seems the list
ignored my email (probably because gmail defaults to HTML) and
doesn't send any error.
Shai,
I know it seems like you're being ignored, but it is more likely
nobody who read your email knows the answer to your question. Or
people who might have an answer just didn't see your email. I barely
read this list at all now, and on a fluke read your email.

Can someone confirm that it is indeed possible to run a single tomcat
instance and one deployed WAR that points to something like this?
I wrote the TomcatVirtualHosts wiki article. Sorry it doesn't cover
your scenario. I have no idea how to do what you want or if it is
possible. I agree it would be cool because I've run into the same
problem where Magnolia's memory requirements prevent me from using it
on particular servers. I got around it by running Magnolia on a non-
essential server, then mirroring the whole site to static html with
wget and putting those static html pages on the online webserver
served by apache. Clunky but it works, and is still easier for me
than editing html pages by hand/Dreamweaver.
