It is somthing I should improve but for now it does the following (if started): - extracts the modules files found in /mgnl-files to the webapp directory periodically - this is mainly used if you develop jsps in a module where the container has no access to the files (because thy lay in the jars) I will improve this as such that all this depends on the magnolia.develop property. If set the deamon will run automatically but will use a better mechanism to extract the files to save performance.
