Hi List I am using Magnlioa 3.0.1 on mysql since it's release for a couple of sites. I noticed that the Activation process (and also Export / Import) takes enourmously long compared to the relatively small amount of data that has to be published. Example
I have a Page containing a Video Download Paragraph with a 40 MB File in it. It takes about 3-4 Minutes for the activation to complete, and the cpu load is around 100% all the time (Tomcat). My Environment: Quite new server with 3Ghz, 2 GB Ram. I assume Magnololia transforms the page to XML (as in the exports) and sends it to the public instance (installed on the same machine). Network speed shouldn't be the issue, because it's on the same machine and in a Gigabit Network. Of course 40 MB is a bit of data to process, but a load of 100% for 4 minutes is just way too much, and surely interferes with the user-experience of the sites during this process. Even worse: If I have to reactivate a whole tree (for instance because of the misordered page order in the Public instance), it can take up to an hour o publish. Does anyone experience the same or has a solution for this?
