This is the same old story but you'd have thought we wouldn't be getting
stuck on it anymore.  Bootstrap is gobbling up memory and increasing
memory for the JVM isn't working.

Anything in particular about 3.0.5 that might be the cause ?

Windows XP 4GB RAM

Just bootstrapping the default configuration as checked out and
configured for Eclipse.
