To offer a bit of background info, I'm trying to build a customer portal to cater for downloads but given the volume of the files & rate of updates it's not feasible to do this via the GUI so what I would like is to transfer the files using ftp/rsync/whatever to the server and using Magnolia with the LDAP module to control access via it's ACLs. Is it possible to have Magnolia watch the file system and mirror the directory structure? If it's not the case, could anyone offer advice on alternatives?
Wasn't there a DAV module a while ago? Did that module die? (or is it EE only - which to Sam wouldn't matter)?
Anyway - DAV would be an easy way to deal with it... if the DAV was still available...
