Flushing the cache is normal, since the public site has to do this for cached content for the new content to appear.

Flushing the cache a few hundred times, however, is not normal.

You should post the relevant section of your catalina.out file to pastebin or somewhere.

I haven't had these problems. What kind of memory do you have allocated to your app server? (I assume tomcat?)

If the nodes are going crazy on that activation, I'd look over how your server settings are configured to see if there is something funky going on.

What version are you running?

Hi all,

Did any of you encounter a problem with activations? When I activate a website node, it basically freezes the whole Magnolia and nobody can save their work. And also, in the catalina log, about a hundred "flushing cache" logs are generated during each activation. Therefore, the live site is throwing an "Unable to connect" error until the activation finishes. I wonder if anyone encounters similar problems like that and see how they tackle the issue.

Thanks,
