I have not seen neither of the two problems yet. Although I do not
work in IE except if I have to. But none of our customers have ever
mentioned any problems there. Maybe if you could publish some
screenshots somewhere so that we could compare it to our results..?

I can confirm the contextual menu highlightning issue... but would not
consider this to be a serious bug. The long german labels are causing
that issue. For what it's worth: In Firefox the lables extend a bit over
the edge of the box. Not very pretty, but I prefer that the magnolia
developer invest their time in more important stuff.
I think to renounce the use of a safer and fastster browser does not
really qualify as "conservative"... ;-)
But by the end of the day... Magnolia should work properly at least
in IE7. If your customers insist on using IE6 I think they are beyond
help.
Yeah right, telling customers there they are figging idiots. Sounds
like the way to go.
Well, I did not use these terms... but seriously: IE6 is a major no-no!

and so on.
Let me repeat myself:
40% of the users of our public facing site (!!!) use IE6. Many of them
access it from their workplace. They are customers of our customer. We
have only two options, accept that and deal with it or harass them.
