Me too, it's there since V6. I decided to skip V7 and go for V8, but I
doubt it'll ever come out... in the meantime I'm studying Blender,
that's very much alive but I have trouble with the interface.
'Browse object library': RMB in the hierarchy window, then it appears in
the popup menu. It's a very convenient way to exchange objects from
different project, including materials. I use it all the time to 'steal'
stuff from myself ;)
