Yes, I know what you mean. Movie space ships today are not like mine. Your
image is closer.

My first job is to put objects together to test many things, but mostly to
get the overall story right.
When that is done, I will go back and do a better job on everything.
My space ships will be different.

Not only the space ships but the test "exile sequence" is itself. It is too
slow but this was because there will be a voice explaining the need for
exile. But I think it will be different too. Maybe some chase action.
