Hi Jean-Sebastien,

Only just saw this. Many congrats I enjoyed it. Must have been tough over
such a long period to pull it all together.

While it has limitations that you mention it is still a great job.

Looking forward to the next one.

All the best,

Jason

Subject: Re: [User-list] My 3D animation in HD and my new website in the
making.

This project was not a good idea from the start.

The subject is boring and the animation timings are weak.

I was fallowing that dream that inspired it from the start (It is an exact
replica of that nightmare).

I thought I could pull it in 3 months.

Sometimes it feels that the camera does not care about the surrounding
action.

The camera moves without waiting.

Sometimes it's too slow and sometimes it's too fast.

The clock and the bridge scene are fun.

It's ok to watch but nothing special.

I am happy that it is done so I can start creating my better ideas.

The bridge animation was the most difficult thing to do.

The camera and the bridge are animated separately and independently.

Camera is never inside the bridge, it is on a totally different rig.

And I only used regular hierarchy rotations and translations.

It was also difficult and problematic to make it look like a single long
shot and infinite loop.

I had to rely on many tricks to make the scenes fit together.

For exemple the exterior of the house and the inside are completely
different scenes.

Different files not related to the other. And It is not always well
executed.

I am currently creating a new NeuroWorld website.

I will put the video there and eventually do a makingof video.

I will also update the tutorial section with thumbnails.

I would also like to mention that I am really disappointed that the Mac
version of RS is abandoned. My next project was started on RS, but I will
have to make it on Strata instead.
