Had to put this on the back boiler... Switched to a non-SMP machine (old Dell optiplex on which I previously played with uml back in 2.4.x releases) with a newly installed 2.6.10 kernel Tried 2.4.27 + uml patch, 2.6.12-bs1 (skas + TT, skas + TT mode=tt, TT alone) without success; Pretty much it all hangs after INIT again As far as I can tell the 2 systems (SMP host and old Dell) share the following: 1. host kernel is 2.6.10 w/ debian patch 2. overall system hangs after INIT or with a "sleeping process xxx got unexpected signal 10" (cf previous email) Things that don't seem to matter: 1. SMP or not seems out of concern 2. kernel version for uml target (tried old 2.4.27 + 2.6.12) Any idea on where to go from now is more than welcome Alessio PS: Did anyone compile similar UMLs on non-debian patched host 2.6.10 kernels? ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
