Hello all,
I could use some advice on recovering uml guest systems. I had a uml
host server burn out its hard drive on me. I managed to mount the
partition holding all the uml guest systems and copy them off the drive.
I have now built a new host system using gentoo and the
gentoo-dev-sources. I applied the host-kas3-v7 patch and built my host
system kernel. Now, when I try booting the guest systems, all of the
kernels panic. (I am using the old root_fs's and guest system uml
kernels.) So, any advice on how best to recover the data on these guest
systems? I thought I would rebuild the guest systems from scratch, but
would like to recover the mailboxes and server config files before doing
so. Thanks for any and all clues.
