I'm using debian sarge with handcrafted kernels (host & guest). If interested, I could provide you a .deb containing the SKAS host kernel I'm running with debian sarge. It's very stable. Version is: Linux uml-host 2.6.8skas-v6 #1 SMP Also you can use the uml-utilities in sarge: apt-get install uml-utilities to get uml-switch and the other tools. And maybe the UML Kernel provided by debian unstable. To get it you have to add an unstable tree to your /etc/apt/sources.list. E.g. deb http://ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/debian/ unstable main followed by an apt-get update and finally an apt-get install user-mode-linux don't forget to remove the line afterwards otherwise your next apt-get upgrade may become a mess. If you don't want the debian unstable kernel which is a 2.4.26 I can provide you with a Linux 2.6.9-skas3-v8-rc1-bs7 guest kernel and modules and if you need also an debian sarge plain root_fs. regards Daniel ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by Oracle Space Sweepstakes Want to be the first software developer in space?
