Hi all,
I have been using User Mode Linux for kernel programming for a small while. I manged to set it up well, but seem to have an issue... whenever i start it up in debug mode, the gdb xterm comes up, but it displays a message...

'shared object read from target memory' has disappeared; keeping its symbols.

And that's it! no gdb prompt, nothing. What's more, the kernel stops booting.

I am running a modified 2.6.12-rc5 kernel on a fedora core 2 disk image. My host Linux is a 2.6.10 vanilla on an FC3 distro.

Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in Advance
Rahul
