I downloaded the pre-built Fedora FC3 image from
http://www.stearns.org/uml-root/ and tried to boot on a guest kernel
2.6.12.4 (w/ the bs9 patches). After fixing the obvious issues (copying
a /dev directory from another OS, modifying inittab, etc.), the image
"hung" during boot at the following location:

Checking for /proc/mm...found
Checking for the skas3 patch in the host...found
Checking PROT_EXEC mmap in /tmp...OK
Linux version 2.6.12.4-bs9 ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux))

However, the system continued to respond normally in other ways. After
disabling the sendmail process, I was able to successfully boot the
system. Even stranger, sendmail started working after I patched the
system. However, the symptom returned a couple hours later (during
another boot). When it isn't working, I can't even build the alias
database with the "newaliases" command (it just hangs).

Any ideas on the issue? Has anyone else using FC3 noticed similar
problems or issues? I tried using the FC4 image, but had even worse
problems.

Tony
