All that means is that the image was loop mounted and then we ran:
apt-get update; apt-get upgrade

The kernels we provide do not have module support.

Using modules is just not practical when providing read-made kernels and
filesystems: adding all the possible modules (for all the kernel
versions we provide) to all the filesystems would cause some serious
unnecessary bloat.

If there is a module that you need, build your own kernel based on one
that works for you and enable module support.
Just remember to install the modules into the filesystem (using a loop
mount or networking)
