Hello everyone. I'v compiled a kernel patched skas on a debian(etch) system using the source and the patch shipped with it. the debian patch I applyed is skas-2.6.18-v9-pre9.patch.gz,
When I boot the uml I get this Kernel panic - not syncing: map_stub_pages : /proc/mm map for code failed, err = 22 Pid: 1, comm: swapper Not tainted 2.6.18 RIP: 0033:[<0000000060791f69>] RSP: 00002b8fcd6f2fc0 EFLAGS: 00000202 RAX: 0000000000000000 RBX: 00000000000051f8 RCX: ffffffffffffffff RDX: 0000000000000000 RSI: 0000000000000013 RDI: 00000000000051f8 RBP: 00000000000051f5 R08: 0000000000000000 R09: 0000000000000000 R10: 0000000000000000 R11: 0000000000000202 R12: 00002b8fcd6f2000 R13: 00007fffdd3b7a98 R14: 0000000000000003 R15: 00007fffdd3b7e18 Call Trace: 62eab938: [<60029f31>] panic_exit+0x4b/0x7a 62eab958: [<60071282>] notifier_call_chain+0x37/0x60 62eab988: [<6007138f>] atomic_notifier_call_chain+0x10/0x19 62eab998: [<600552a1>] panic+0x125/0x204 62eab9d8: [<607a4a92>] __write_nocancel+0x9/0x77 62eab9e0: [<60024dd4>] copy_to_user_proc+0x0/0x45 62eaba18: [<6003cae2>] file_io+0x146/0x169 62eaba28: [<607a4a80>] __libc_write+0x0/0x9 62eaba88: [<600448c8>] map_stub_pages+0xd0/0x1c0 62eabb28: [<607ee000>] __syscall_stub_start+0x0/0xc1 62eabb38: [<600233da>] pte_alloc_one+0x3f/0x4f 62eabb48: [<600ab7ec>] __pte_alloc+0x1c/0x14a 62eabb88: [<6002e80f>] new_mm+0x82/0x90 62eabba8: [<6002e000>] init_new_context_skas+0x166/0x247 62eabbe8: [<600e1c95>] do_execve+0x17a/0x4b6 62eabc18: [<600211fc>] init+0x0/0x26e 62eabc38: [<60021dce>] execve1+0x3e/0xce 62eabc68: [<60021e73>] um_execve+0x15/0x6c 62eabc78: [<600ed867>] dupfd+0xaa/0xd6 62eabc98: [<600211bc>] run_init_process+0x68/0xa8 62eabcc8: [<60021424>] init+0x228/0x26e 62eabce8: [<60791b23>] __libc_longjmp+0x33/0x50 62eabcf8: [<6003ee09>] run_kernel_thread+0x71/0x83 62eabd10: [<600211fc>] init+0x0/0x26e 62eabd38: [<600211fc>] init+0x0/0x26e 62eabd58: [<6003edd1>] run_kernel_thread+0x39/0x83 62eabdb8: [<6004dd0e>] schedule_tail+0x40/0x2cc 62eabde8: [<600211fc>] init+0x0/0x26e 62eabdf8: [<6002e485>] new_thread_handler+0x12f/0x187 62eabe38: [<60791c70>] __restore_rt+0x0/0x10 62eabec8: [<60791eea>] __sigprocmask+0x4a/0xc0 62eabee8: [<60791f69>] __kill+0x9/0x20 If I boot a guest with noprocmm everything is fine. I've use a uml compiled by me, maybe I missed something. Should I attach the config of the guest kernel? The machine have a amd64 cpu where I can find patches for the 2.6.18? the site of blaisorblade seems down Erik ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
