Here's what I'm trying to do and I know it's possible but it doesn't seem to
work ...
The dhcp server is running gentoo and ir pretty much up to date ... I want to
assign addresses to 4 subnets off a single ethernet controller... I want to
route traffic to a subnet (30 hosts on a subnet) i.e the other hosts don't see
a thing. I tried this on gentoo and when you starup the interface it tries to
dhcp the addresses I assigned for the card ... VLAN (gentoo) can't do the dhcp
so eth0.1 or eht0.2 comes up but ipv6 .. so it's failing ....... so any tips
pr tricks ??? I know this should work ... I want to turn the PC into a smart
router and it's not working.
