That works (though not yet test the guest os network). Thanks for the help.

During installation, the only problem I encountered so far is the guest os - 
i.e. debian (etch) - can not find the port-helper required by the xterm. Though 
in User Mode Linux HowTo it has mentioned this, but I can not figure it out 
very well. My problem is because it is 64 bits os (both guest and host os), the 
port-helper path is different from i386. So basically if the guest os  is 
debian etch (amd64), on the host os (my case is opensuse 11.0) you can make a 
symblic link to /usr/lib/uml/ folder by command `ln -s 
/usr/lib64/uml/port-helper /usr/lib/uml/port-helper`. I understand this is 
trivial for expert, but hope that can help newbie person like me. : )
