Hello, I've seen the problem once again today. While 7 other UMLs were running, another stopped midway during booting and the linux processes associated to it showed:
USER PID %CPU %MEM VSZ RSS TTY STAT START TIME COMMAND user 8515 0.0 0.0 0 0 pts/6 T+ 09:11 0:00 [linux] user 8655 0.0 0.0 0 0 pts/6 T+ 09:11 0:00 [linux] user 8889 0.0 0.0 0 0 pts/6 T+ 09:11 0:00 [linux] user 9239 0.0 0.0 0 0 pts/6 T+ 09:11 0:00 [linux] user 9255 0.0 0.0 0 0 pts/6 T+ 09:11 0:00 [linux] user 9265 0.0 0.0 0 0 pts/6 T+ 09:11 0:00 [linux] user 9285 0.0 0.0 0 0 pts/6 T+ 09:11 0:00 [linux] user 9299 0.0 0.0 0 0 pts/6 T+ 09:11 0:00 [linux] user 9305 0.0 0.0 0 0 pts/6 T+ 09:11 0:00 [linux] user 9306 0.0 0.0 0 0 pts/6 T+ 09:11 0:00 [linux] user 9320 98.2 0.0 1440 12 pts/6 R+ 09:11 1:13 [linux] The last guy in there was the problem I think. So I grabbed all PIDs and issues a single kill -9 on them. The follwing was shown: Kernel panic - not syncing: wait_stub_done : failed to wait for SIGUSR1/SIGTRAP, pid = 9320, n = 9320, errno = 3, status = 0x9 Segmentation fault If anyone has an idea as to what would be the context in which a UML kernel would behave like this, please let me know - thanks.
