oops, yes, of course! I tried that and the getty was able to receive my
username, but after pressing enter nothing happened any more, some
timeout message appeared.

I logged in via mconsole and did an emergency sync and a halt command
and restarted uml. now I'm receiving funny warnings/bad pages:
