As I reread my message, I feel that I did not provide enough background. I am using the SummingCombiner to sum metrics. This step provides essentially facet counts about my data:
ROWID ACTION RUNNING 5 ROWID ACTION WALKING 33 ROWID ACTION DRINKING 45 This works great. My next concern is to count the number of unique actions.
