I have a project on github which installs hadoop 1.0.4, zookeeper 3.4.3, and accumulo 1.4.2 in ~/accumulo_home/bin on Ubuntu 10.04. This project is at https://github.com/medined/accumulo-at-home.
The scripts don't do anything amazing. I just wanted to get 1.4.2 working and thought I might as well share the scripts.
