I think you're right. I don't recall seeing that anywhere.
It would be a nice addition to have them present. It might require masters to register in ZooKeeper (aside from the one which is currently the master). I'm not sure off the top of my head.

Then I ran start-all.sh. The master process is definitely running on both nodes. The 'master' monitor page lists affy-slave1 as the master node. Would the other masters be listed anywhere?
