It occurred to me that for Isolated scans, the iterator stack is torn
down less frequently.  However, Isolated scans are only available via
the Scanner and not the BatchScanner.

I think with Isolated scans, the Iterator stack is only torn down when
data source change and a row boundary is passed.  The iterator stack
is kept in place on the server side (for a short time) between batches
being sent to the client.
