These scripts are optional, though. Everybody's situation is unique, so we probably can't offer specific advice for your environment, but this seems like a generally good idea to me if you're running on a typical Linux system, as an active Accumulo cluster on Hadoop will likely use a lot of open file handles. I don't see that behavior changing anytime soon.
